Study on the Effects of Audiovisual Delay on Speech Intelligibility

This study examines how visual information influences the understanding of spoken language in challenging listening conditions. For this study, you will watch videos, listen to the audio, and transcribe what you understand. This will take approximately 10 minutes.

Study structure:

• First, you will complete a training phase with 3 videos to get familiar with the task.
• After that, you will complete 3 study blocks with 3 videos each.
• Between study blocks, you will be asked to take a short break (at least 10 seconds).
• Your progress will be shown at the top of the study pages.

Requirements: We are looking for participants who

• are native English speakers
• have normal hearing and vision
